Mirrored

Reflections of my worth
can't be found in your eyes
nor yours in mine
drawn in lines and shades
of subtlety

There's danger there
to find my value in your gaze
Charges it with everything I am
hope to be or ever were
If you look away, I'm ravaged

My love, my worth is known to me
Endless study of the best and worst
a feel for the topography
Look elsewhere if you must
I'll find myself, a mirrored image
