PragueWriter
is the personal web site of expat writer
Jim Freeman, poet, political essayist and the author of three
novels. You
may find it interesting to check out my blog,
as everyone seems to have one these days.
EVOKE,
my first novel, published by xlibris.com and the first chapter
is in the fiction section of this personal web site. Click
here to read it!
EVOKE is available for
purchase
directly at Jim Freeman's Bookstore
A political novel, EVOKE flexes
the muscles of government and private interest in the coming climate of
virtual reality.
Read the
reviews from the ordinary folks who've bought it.
Like many expat writers who maintain a personal web site,
I'm involved in the writing community in Prague and contribute to the readings that
take place here. If you plan to come through Prague on a trip, be sure
to contact
me or either on this personal web site or check in with
the
Alchemy site
to find out how to catch up with us.
If this personal web site is long on anything, it's probably
political opinion, 'cause that's the stuff that keeps my juices flowing; politics
in America, International goings
on, Washington, Iraq,
the ever-lovin' environment and
a section on particular things that make
me nuts.
But
that's just my practical side, I have a poetic sensitivity as well and
display it in poetry collections by
chapbook, as well as love
poems,
poetry that looks at life in its abstractions, inequities and personal terms.
Then there's relationships,
the narrative form, short
poems, family
remembrances, nature
poetry and last of all, death
poetry. There's even
a personal web site section on writing poems.
Additionally, if you want to know more about me, there's
the about link and some
personal web site FAQs,
along with some stuff about what I'm reading and recommend.
The most fun I have is hearing from people who like or dislike something
or disagree with a commentary. Don't fume, write
me . . . I'll write you back!
Additionally, take
a look at Misha's and my additional personal web web site for the export
of fine Czech crystal. Czech it out at Feel
Bohemian.
